The Black Forest offers a variety of educational and cultural visits, many of which embrace the great outdoors and for some of those living in the region traditional economic activities are still an important part of daily life.
The city of Freiburg sits on the edge of the Black Forest and is Germany's southern most and sunniest city boasting one of the country's prettiest old quarters. Add to that a wealth of culture and history, scenic surroundings and a laidback atmosphere, it is an ideal city for students to experience German life, culture and the language. Triberg is home to Germany's highest waterfall and Eble Uhren-Park, which displays and sells a wide variety of clocks in a colourful themed environment, boasts the world's biggest cuckoo clock!
Modern Foreign Languages
Everyday, practical situations such as visiting and purchasing items from a local market or shop offer the opportunity to practise speaking the language through conversing with native speakers, helping to re-enforce what students have been taught in the classroom. Taking part in an activity which can be instructed in German can improve a student's understanding of the German language and help them to develop their own language skills.
Our tour arrangements are based on providing your group with exclusive use of a 48, 49 or 53 seat coach, which will collect you from and return you back to your school or college. Your package price includes return channel crossings from Dover to Calais. We can arrange crossings from Hull to Zeebrugge for a supplement.
